I moved to Duhok at Iraqi Kurdistan Region after finishing my Post graduate education.
We started the Department of Pediatrics at University of Duhok and at same time we start to open Hivi Pediatric Teaching Hospital as small hospital with limited facilities.
Now the hospital if fully equipped with both PICU and NICU, Pediatric Surgical ward and emergency room.
The hospital is receiving patients from Duhok as well as internally displaced people from all over Iraqi and Syrian refugees.
Regarding the university we started the Child Mental health Department in collaboration with Upsala University / Sweden.
